Fast and Furious – natural skin ointment
"Fast and Furious" really restores and soothes. The combination of the three effective oils - arnica, calendula, sea buckthorn with tamanu and shea butter helps the cells to regenerate and restore the freshness, smoothness and tenderness of the
skin. Creamy formula with soft texture in a pleasant aroma of orange and juniper that acts as a shield against the harmful impact of
the environment.
I came up with this product after seeking treatment for the allergic reactions of some actors
to a prosthetic. Their skin after its 12-hours-use gets allergic reactions, rashes or ,in the best
case – redness.

Ointments - Healing Qualities or Pharmaceutical Products
Ointments are lipid-based products – vegetable oils, petrolatum and lanolin, with a soft dosage form for external use with a specific purpose. An ideal means for improving the condition of dry, chronic skin conditions and inflammations. The formulas are based on active ingredients (extracts) dissolved in oils, in most cases, anhydrous, with intensive properties. Organic ointments absorb quickly and into deeper levels of the tissues, creating a protective occlusive barrier film that protects the injured area, reducing water loss.
Ointments can be registered as medicinal products or offered as cosmetics, depending on the composition and purpose. Organic ointments are widely known under the wing of folk medicine when natural ingredients of plant origin are used with the definition of organic raw materials. These are vegetable oils, hard butters and waxes. Organic ointments exclude petrolatum and lanolin in their composition. Vaseline is a refined petroleum product, it is not plant or animal, but a petroleum derivative. Lanolin, although not synthetic, comes from the secretions of the sebaceous glands of animals.
The lipid composition of ointments is a solution that seeks stability and protection. The water phase of gels and creams allows the development of microorganisms. This requires an effective preservation system.
The type and concentration of the ingredients act by reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL), softening the stratum corneum, helping to restore the barrier, and can improve the easier perception of active ingredients in the skin. They are effective in eczema and psoriasis, as they soothe the skin, heal wounds and relieve inflammation.
Ointments are easy to apply, depending on the percentage of wax in their composition. The consistency and density, in turn, are determined by the ratio of solid and liquid oils in the formula, the temperature cooling and whipping. Oils that are base or essential function to improve the condition of a specific problem. In addition to a barrier formula, ointments are for acne, dry-sensitive, eczema, flaky skin and have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial or healing effects.
